i currently have installed win2k on the whole hd, and now i want to partition it so i can install win98, im using partition magic to create the second partition but it suggest to make the partition at the begining of the disk.
my question is, will this affect the win2k installation?
if i create the partititon for win98 at the end of the disk, it will bootable? (this is preferable so pm doesnt have to move all the 40GB to make room at the beginning of the hd)
thanks everyone

there are 2 possible areas for problems here..
1. using partition magic with win2k.
2. installing win2k then win98.
both can be worked out with knowledge, planning and attention (and maybe luck!), but equally both could lead to tears!!
if it is no great hardship it would be better to forget PM , lose your current win2k, partition in standard way (e.g. fdisk or gdisk) as you need. then intall win98 first and win2k second choosing the install locations as required. in this order its easy and the boot menu created for you.
installing win98 after win2k will trash your win2k boot (although that is recoverable), and there could be fewer headaches with a fresh start.
