Let’s say you decide to limit the amount of memory used by Terminal Services to enhance system performance. You do this because Terminal Services reserves 32MB of RAM for two sessions, even when they are not running on the server.
To free the reserved memory on a terminal server, you click Start à Run à Regedit à In the Registry Editor you select HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ System\ CurrentControlSet\ Control à Then you select Terminal Server, right-click IdleWinStationPoolCount, and select Modify.
In the Edit DWORD Value dialog box you can see that the value of the IdleWinStationPoolCount is 2 à To change the pool count, you type 0 in the Value data text box and click OK.
