I have a need to stop people from exploring the hard drive from the View/ExplorerBar/Flolders menu. Can someone help me stop this? They will only be using IE so as of now that is the only way they can get to the HDD. Does anyone have any ideas of how to erase that button or totally do away with the View/Explorer Bar button? I know you can go to full screen and it's gone but if you right click on the toolbar it gives you the options to bring it back.....can I stop the right click option?

If you replace the shell you with iexplore.exe -k you will have IE in kiosk mode. The user will then not be able to access the, e.g. address bar.
There are also registry tweaks on this site that will also be able to remove the toolbars for you.
Alternatively you could also manage this with policies, thus preventing any user/defined user from accessing any .exe.
I hope this helps...

I need some details or instructions for either. I have tried to use policies and nothing seemed to work. I would like to use the Iexplorer.exe -k but i'm not sure how to use it. Also I only want to limit them to NOT be able to use the view/explorer bar from with in IE........how would i replace the shell to test it.........I have used policies to remove all the tool bars but the menu one only goes away in fulll screen and then they can right click and get it back....

Here</font color=blue> (http://msdn.microsoft.com/workshop/browser/ext/tutorials/explorer.asp><font) is a Microsoft tutorial for creating explorer bars. It may prove helpful for pointing you in the right direction, at least. It's also kind of neat reading.
What? Why are you looking at me like that? Oh, that... Yeah, I'm a nerd. That king of thing's normal for me. Don't let it bother you. ;)
Here</font color=blue> (http://www.google.com/search?q=registry+%22explorer+bars%22&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8><font) is the search that brought me there.

If you want to see what kiosk mode looks like then Start>Run then type iexplore.exe -k and press return.
If you want to apply this then you will need to change the shell in the registry. To do this you will need to Start>Run>regedt32 then press return and drill down to the following key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon and then change the Shell value data to iexplore.exe -k
Hope this helps...

Since I may be publishing IE as an application on my MetaFrame farm, would you mind showing me a sample of the registry entries you used to disable the explorer bars?
I'm afraid that in all my zeal to lock down the address bar, the toolbar buttons, the Internet Options dialogue, etc. that I forgot all about the explorer bars. Of course, if I actually used them myself, then I might have had a chance to actually remember them.
