I’ve got a problem here with windows 2000 pro "service pack 2 I guess". "128 MB of RAM" "450 MHz" this msg appears any time while working on windows doesn’t matter if I am using the pc for long time without restarting sometimes it appears just after I start up my computer.
*the title of this msg: windows - virtual memory minimum too low
*the core msg: your system is low in virtual memory. Windows is increasing the size of virtual memory paging file. During this process, memory requests for some applications may be denied. For more information, see help.

Any one experienced this before and got a solution?

Best regards

The 'paging file' size recommended in the Win2000 Help file is 1.5 times your physical RAM. In your case it would be 128 x 1.5 or 192MB. Check your Help file for how to do it. Type paging file into the Search window in Help.

It does state "For best perfomance, set the initial size to not less than the recommended size under Total paging file size for all drives."

A larger paging file would be good if you have the hard drive space available.

Good judgement comes from experience, and experience comes from bad judgement

BertImmenschuh...The problem for sure is not the adjustment of the page files however I have tried what u were talking about and I've tried even setting the value more than 1.5 times of my actual RAM size as minimum but that didn’t work.
