I installed 98 SE on a new computer, apparently I messed up somewhere. I get a lot of those missing file messages on startup and I have the auto install program for the main board still trying to work but it stops on an error, "serious error" it calls it. How do I get back to a clean disc so I can reinstall the system and board drivers. Also should I unhook joystick and lan connection during reinstall. I have done this on my Mac, but Windows is a mystery to me. Do you just reformat the harddrive? The reason I want to reinstall is I think the Lan drivers for the board did not load and I want to get rid of all those missing file "ini" messages.
