my wife was playing around and somehow moved the taskbar from the bottom to the top. i tried to click and drag it, but it only moves it halfway down the screen (the top half is all taskbar). i'm not sure what she clicked to move it, but i would love to have it back on the bottom. thanks in advance! mark

The top HALF of the screen is all taskbar? Other than dragging the position of the tasbkar, she may have resized it also. Put your pointer on the edge of the taskbar, and you should get a double sided arrow. See if you can shrink it back down to normal size at that point.

If i understand correctly the taskbar is bigger than normal?

Click and hold the click on a clear part of the taskbar and drag to the bottom of the screen.

Then follow 7ate9's advice on how to get it back to normal size

Mamasa,

When you've fixed your current problem, either:
1a) Click Start, point to Settings and click on Taskbar and Start Menu.
OR
1b) Right click an empty area of the Taskbar and choose Properties.
THEN
2) On the lower third of the Advanced Tab under Start Menu and Taskbar - Taskbar, make sure you Remove the check mark from "Enable moving and resizing."

Hopefully, that will prevent this from happening again.
Good luck,
