View Full Version : Get the GUID for any toolbar in an MS app (All)

1. Make sure that Office 2000 (or XP) is installed.
2. Register MSCOMCTL.OCX (regsvr32 mscomctl.ocx).
3. Install the application.
4. Open any Office app and then open the VBE from Tools &gt; Macro &gt; Visual Basic Editor (or just press ALT+F11).
5. Open the utility from the Add-Ins menu.
6. Select the "Microsoft APPNAME" radio button, and have at it.

A consultant friend of mine just showed this to me and set the above URL and instructions. So, I haven't yet tested it, but I've seen it used on another machine. Since I'm often given the task of customizing an application for deployment on my Metaframe, this is going to be very useful to me.

I'm unsure of the "all versions" I selected for the category, but I'm sure of Win2k and WinXP. I just didn't want to scare off one group by selecting the other. As with all applications, YMMV.
