Group Policy Question (W2K)

Hope some one can help

We have several Windows 2000 servers that have been imaged, they all have the user accounts in one OU with a default group policy.

The group policy has password policy to change very 42 days. I have set this to 0 and then removed the tick out of define this policy setting which dosnt seem to work. Can anyway one tell me if its something I am doing wrong?

are you certain that the setting is for when the password must be changed? it isn't simply the setting which says the same password can't be used again for 42 days is it?
plus isn't it the case with policies that the strictest applies? you might have to remove the old policy then apply the new one.
however i suspect it is my first thought since a policy forcing change every 0 days seems daft and so unlikely to be allowed.
