Hi everybody:
I still have problems with the AOSS boot disc and I see that this problem seems to be common. A black screen, a cursor and that's it.
I want to change my boot priority settings. In the setup it says: go to the device menu, but I can't find nothing. Anybody
can help me?
The information from PC Tools about the installation of AOSS could be better. I have 2 programs from PC Tools running on my PC and they work really nice and smooth.
Thanks and best regards to everybody.

You need to access the bios. On my PC, a Dell 8250, you press F2 before Windows loads but yours may be different. See PC manual.
The bios will show thw boot priority, just change the sequence to boot from CD first, save changes and exit.

Thank you, aviator 888, for your instructions.
I'm working with Windows XP home ed. and I allready accessed the BIOS.
I have the following three devices:
1st Boot device Sony CD-RW
2nd 3M-ST380011A This is the DVD device.
3rd. 1st Floppy Drive
All 3 devices are enclosed in parenthesis.
At the right of the devices it says: "A device enclosed in parenthesis has been disabled in the correspopnding type menu".
When I click on the boot devices, all 3 appear "disabled".
I can't find the "corresponding type menu" to enable them and I don't have any PC Manual as my PC is a clone I armed by myself.
The question is now, how can the boot devices be enabled. I would appreciate very much any help on this matter. Thank you. Best regards.

Hi Hermann
I also have a Windows XP. If yours is the same or similar to the one I am using, once you have highlighted your boot preference you press the F10,on keyboard which will enable where ever you want to boot from.
You then use one of the four arrows to the bottom right of your keyboard to scroll and highlight "EXIT AND SAVE". Press enter you have now saved your settings. ON my computer all the configuration settings are on left the others on the right. Hope this helps.
Cheers
Lydia
