This is a truly great piece of software that a few people I know say its excellent. . I'm not using it at the moment

Click Here to go see for yourself . . . the guy's name is Mike Lin he is a clever 20yr old programmer /images/forums/icons/smile.gif read below his words

Startup Control Panel is a nifty control panel applet that allows you to easily configure which programs run when your computer starts. It's simple to use and, like all my programs, is very small and won't burden your system. A valuable tool for system administrators!

Startup Control Panel is compatible with all modern versions of Windows, including Windows 95, 98, 98SE, ME, NT 4.0, 2000, and XP.

Startup Control Panel uses the Microsoft Windows Installer engine for its setup routine

Have Fun with your computer /images/forums/icons/cool.gif

Earlier today I had already downloaded Mike Lin's program you are recommending. I have not tried it yet. I went for the .exe file that does not need to be installed. Just place it any folder of choice.

I also grabbed the "Startup monitor" program as it looks good too.

Several posts below this one, by me, is the recommendation for Mike Lin's Clipomatic program that I have been using for a couple of years now with joy.

I had noticed that I was using an older version of Clipomatic then what is now available and that is when I decided to grab the other two programs that I mentioned while I was there.

I happen to like Mike Lin's programs.

Report_2,

I use both StartUp Monitor and StartUp Control Panel and have done so for about 18 months. I've had no problems and many pleasures. Only caveat I have is with StartUp Monitor and it's a small one.

When installing a new programme, they will often need to have something load into the registry's Run Once key(s). If the person installing gets too cavalier & stops every StartUp from running, they could run into incompletely installed apps. So, one has to be careful when selecting which StatrUps to disable. You can always go back & reenable them through StartUp Control Panel, so it's not the end of the world.

Report2-Isn't Clipomatic a joy. How many times have you lost something off clipboard and were out of look.

Have it on all my systems - wouldn't even think of running without it.

I have it on all my systems and would never even think of running without it. I frequently recommend it to others on our forum.

Hi Allan.

you right, posts need to be viewed by a mod/admin before getting through, just stops this forum becoming an advertising board
