Do you have any CD burning software on your computer? That's the first step. Get something like Nero, or Roxio. Use the software to drag and drop data form your hard drive to the blank cd.

Yes i have a burner, writer but not sureexactly what i should be backing up, i did find this info,
BACKUP PATH CONTENTS
C:\data\ (All User data files and email)
C: \Program Files\Netscape\users (Netscape Preferences)
C:\Windows\system.dat (System settings)
C:\Windows\Desktop (Desktop icons and shortcuts)
C:\Windows\Favorites (Internet Explorer User only. IE Favorites)
C:\Windows\Profiles (User system settings)
C:\Windows\Start Menu (Windows Start Menu settings)
C:\Windows\Tasks (Task scheduler settings)
Does that look about right?

Well, there is no one right answer I guess, it depends on what YOU want to backup. If you want to backup email, yes backup the netscape directory. If you wanan backup Favorites, yes backup the Favorite directory. If you're trying to make an image if your drive to copy everything, I would use <a target="_blank" href=http://www.powerquest.com/driveimage/>Drive Image, by PowerQuest</a>.

Thank you very much, for some reason i feel a crash coming, its been a year since my last one and i wasn't prepared for it and still am not prepared. I really appreciate your assistance.
Vince
Vince,
Yuck, a crash. Being prepared for it is half the battle, but why not scare it away by formating & reinstalling right now?
