Well I bit on one of those specials " epson c60 printer $69.95 free shipping" No ink and the ink cost more than the printer "$72.00" and I can't even refill them. Does anyone know of a program that will reset these damn things, I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one with this problem. I'm sure not going to give epson another penny of mine, I can buy another printer for what the ink cost. Don't know who's idea that was but I sure hope they have a nice day, the sonofa#$%^..

Heres the best place to get ink cartridges for far less than what Epson wants. I have no association with this place of bussiness other than buying low cost cartridges from them.

Jackha,

You can also buy <a target="_blank" href=http://www.google.com/search?q=%22printer+ink+refill%22>Printer Ink Refils</a>.

I know the cartridges & Epsom say they aren't refillable. I believe the worst that can happen is twofold:
(1) A big mess if you aren't careful.
(2) Your printer warranty might be void.

It may well be worth a shot.

They aren't refillable because they have a chip on them that counts the ink squirts and even after I refilled them they still say there empty, the cartrage zapper that worked on the old style won't work on these, I was hoping that some programmer had come up with someway around it so as to stick it in epsons ear. I do know a little electronics but zip about programming. I know that I can buy the cartrages cheeper on line but if it dosen't work "wrong chip" then it's a big hassle, that's how I ended up with this damn thing in the first place. "couldn't get it removed from my credit card" Oh well I just thought MAYBE. guess I'll just have to get another printer. [not an epson] Thanks for the help anyway..jackha

Jackha,

Sorry if I my post looks like an advertisement.
I did some more reading and found the information below at this site:
MaxPatch Ink Supplies</font color=blue> (http://www.maxpatchink.com/epson.htm><font)

Phone:1-888-231-3426 (M-F 10-6 Pacific Time)
Email: mailto:<font color=blue>ink@maxpatch.com</font color=blue> (<font color=blue>ink@maxpatch.com</font color=blue>)

These two items are replacement ink cartridges for the Epsom c60 printer:
<font color=red>E-T028 Replaces T028201 One Black Cartridge $14.95
E-T029 Replaces T029201 One Color Cartridge $13.95</font color=red>

Shipping, within the US, is an additional $4.30 per order. This company doesn't ship internationally.
This is only one of many companies that do exactly sell the same thing - replacement cartridges, in addition to ink.

I hope you can use the information, although I can easily see your point about getting a new printer instead.

Nana,,Thanks for the effort but I think a different printer will cure the problem permanently and this time I will make sure I can refill the cartrages...

Jackha,

You're welcome. Really, I don't blame you. The ridiculous idea of parts costing more than the whole is almost like a cure being worse than the disease.

Good luck,
