Got this from reghakr...
As long as you're not logging into a domain,
Go to C:\Windows
Delete all .pwl files
Go to Start>Run, type notepad c:\windows\system.ini
Delete all lines under
[Password Lists]
Go to ControlPanel>Network
Choose Windows Logon as Primary Login
Reboot
You should now get the login box one last time. Just click OK for no password.
Not Yet?
Try
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Network\Logon
if there is a binary value called MustBeValidated
and it has a value of 01 00 00 00, change it to 00 00 00 00.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr ent Version\Network\Real Mode Net\AutoLogon
Change the value from 00 00 00 00 to 01 00 00 00. If that key is not there, create it and give it that value.

Have you tried: Right Click Network Neibor Hood, goto Properties, then in the drop down choose windows logon instead of client for microsoft networks, del. the pwl file, reboot and if you get the logon screen clear the password field and clcik ok, this should enter a blank password and on the next reboot it should not prompt you for one. Hope this helps.
TweakUI</font color=red> (http://www.annoyances.org/exec/show/tweakui><font) has an auto logon option.
