After running my Win98SE CD-Rom through it fixed everything!
The good news is my problem is all fixed /images/forums/icons/smile.gif but I just noticed in Control Panel\ Add Remove\ my IE-6.0 is NOT listed anymore, OE-6.0 is still listed & I am still using IE 6.0 (no problems as far as I know)

What should I do?

Any help truly apreciated. . . thanks in advance

Hi again Hally,

this may set your mind at rest

Updated Versions of Internet Explorer Not Listed in Add/Remove Programs</font color=red> (http://216.239.51.100/search?q=cache:XSQDoiSPuN4C:support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q277/6/24.asp+Q277624+&hl=en&ie=UTF-8><font)

LOL we meet again Dan, I had a few posts to get off my chest all at once /images/forums/icons/smile.gif
Even though they are saying Win2000 in the link you sent I get the drift its no problem they say!! My only problem is what if I need to add\remove components or repair IE6.0

As I found out there is a down side to re-install windows, yes it fixes your problem but say "Good Bye" to all your specialized settings , tweaks , mods etc etc etc

When IE is not listed in add/remove, use this command from Start &gt; Run...

rundll32 setupwbv.dll,IE5Maintenance "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\Setup\SETUP.EXE" /g "C:\WINDOWS\IE Uninstall Log.Txt"

Notice where it says IE5Maintenance. Since you have IE 6x, just change that 5 to a 6. Run that, and it brings you to the same screen you would get to, as if you went to Add/Remove Programs.
