I performed the regedit that minimizes Outlook to the system tray. I am having a weird problem with the send/receive dialog box. Most of
the time it will pop up when a send/receive is performed, and then disappear. This is the way I like it. I have the "do not show box"
checked for this very reason. But then sometimes (20% of the time)the send/receive dialog will pop up; send/receive will complete, but then
the dialog box will stay up. This I do not like because then I have to manually close it. Do you know why this happens? or how I fix this?

Welcome to the wonderful world of perfect applications, perfectly designed by Microsoft, behaving perfectly /images/forums/icons/smile.gif.

I've been using Outlook since it replaced Schedule Plus and have "upgraded" to the newer version each year. I also have this "problem" and I'd bet many others do to. I doubt there's much we can do about it.

its not when you have sent/rvcd a new item is it? rather than a fruitless check?
it could be simply a way of letting you know there is something new to view.
