I have an old spinner 3. 1 and when I install the latest version, it doesn't
uninstall. When I try to uninstall with control panel, I get a message "missing a dll or associated file" .
Can I just delete the software from the registry, or do I need to do more?
I am a newbie to registry modification.
Thanx,

If you can't get rid of it via Add/Remove Programs you can just delete it. You ought to enter Spinner 3.1 in Search (guess it's Find in 98) to get all the parts and pieces and if you have a RegCleaner app. you can use that to eliminate any traces in the registry.

yoe could look at the inf maybe and see what it does then undo them.
or use an uninstaller and re-install then uninstall or check the logs.
if you just use delete beware any entries in system.ini 386enh or you might get a no-boot missing vxd error.

Thanx, Tom
I installed RegCleaner and that seemed to do the trick. It also showed many other apps that had been improperly uninstalled, also.
