Hi there.
Does anyone know if there is any way of setting Microsoft Outlook up to work through a proxy server?
Thanks

which proxy.?
it works through them all if set up to.
What do you mean which proxy? Between me and the internet is a proxy server on server2, to use the internet, I have to go into tools-Internet Properties-connections-lan settings and tick the use proxy server box, put server2 in the address box and 80 in the port box. The proxy server (wingate) that is running on server2 also has a pop3 and smtp proxy server on port 25 and 110, but there is nowhere in the microsoft outlook options that I can find to tell it to use server2 as a proxy server to access the yahoo or hotmail mail server. anyone know how to do this?
Thanks

by which proxy I meant msoft, or eg as you have wingate. not only can the config be different for different ones but it can even be different after a service release update (as I found out with a powermac and ms proxy).
The wingate help files is really good on this though and gives clear and easy insructions. so good that it is daft for me to interpret for you.
if you can't get any joy though let me know - i have them printed out somewhere.
