I'm running IE 6.0 which is working but when I open outlook express my computer locks up. I have to turn off cpu and re-boot to unlock. Any suggestions? Called cable company and was told this was related to Norton Anti-virus program. Never had problem before. Help!!

Thanks Dan for the prompt reply. I fixed this thing myself somehow, however I'm not sure how.I do however have a concern about the running services on this computer seem to be about 36 and its hogging up my memory(about 150mb left out of 256mb. Any suggestions? Thanks again.

there is something very dodgy abourt NAV of late in my opinion, but that aside don't make the mistake of thinking full memory is bad. the opposite is tru. ram is the fastest access and so the more full it is the faster the pc goes. it tries to keep full but sometimes can't get the service due to bottle-necks and slowcoach devices.
full is good as long as a big chunk is full but swappable.

There a ton of those services that can be disabled or set to manual.
