Well, some good news. I've been able to recover somewhere around 60-70% of my lost e-mail messages. My thanks to those of you who pointed me to the DBxtract site. The tool was invaluable once I figured out how to actually use it. ;)

Now that I have these .eml files, I wish to import them back into OE, but I'm find that a bit challenging. The import tool simply will not cooperate with me.

Do any of you know how to accomplish this, or am I wanting what cannot be done?

Thanks again,
Jake Hazelip

I don't know the history here but at the risk of being obvious - you have used scanpst I suppose?

but for the emls...stick them in a folder and open the folder in a window half of the screen. open OE to show folders in a window over the other half screen. configure OE folders as neede. drag and drop emls. that easy.

The history is painful. I had to use a data recovery program to get my dbx files back, and they were a little corrupted.

I never came across the utility you mention. What's it do, and is there a page I can read?

Thanks,
Jake

its a bog-standard msoft feature. search for scanpst on your drive or cd.
I think it comes with office (for outlook).
