Did someone know how to remove the tray items from taskbar for window 2000. I need program running in the backgroup when I log on to system. (ex. Norton, Quick time, Real audio). But, I don't want those icon show on the taskbar. Did someone know how to change it?
Thanks!
I know there are programs which do this, i wouldn't know how to do this manually

Csliou,
I found a shareware app that will do what you want.
<a target="_blank" href=http://www.colorpilot.com/tray.html>Tray Pilot</a> allows you to hide System Tray icons or the whole System Tray.
I am not familiar with the software or with the company offering it, so I cannot comment on it. Sorry.

Hello all
would It be the same as xp
try right clicking the taskbar and choose open folder and deleteing the short cut.
or try right clicking taskbar and open properties go to hide inactive icons and click on customize and hide what you wont always.
