Hi guys, I truly hope some of you could answer me with the solution to get my File menu back, it is lost from Internet Explorer AND Windows Explorer, I have looked everywhere for an answer, checked Registry, check websites, re-installed, IE6, reinstalled W98se, but with no result, please, please please help me....Not being able to Saves as, or Print as is doing my head in!!!!!!! :-( The file menu is the one that should be before Edit, View, Favourite, Tools and Help......

checking it out Friend........never found it when I searched the site, may have not asked a specific enough question, who knows.....If it works for me, have a beer.

I'm not quite sure i understand what that reply means.

The work around did not work friend, I have only lost the File section of the menu, not all of it. I am still lost as to what to do. There is still no File Menu on Win Explorer or Internet Explorer

Open your registry and look at these two keys:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\Explorer


HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Policies\Explorer

Click Explorer in the left pane. Look for this entry in the right pane:

NoFileMenu

If you find it,delete it.
Reboot.

Many thanks for your reply.....I found this out by chance last night, and I am again, a happy go lucky guy! My problem solved, You reply was correct..
