Is there a registry setting which controls folder view settings? The control panel setting is on but the settings don't stay. I think my company's security policy has something to do with it. The settings worked for months then all of a sudden they just started reverting to view by details.

These two Keys hold the stored information for folder views in XP, they may exist in Win2k as well.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell NoRoam\BagMRU
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell NoRoam\Bags
