I'm busy locking down my IE 5.5. I've come to the point where almost everything is disallowed. Beautiful... Except for two things:
I can't seem to be able to stop the CTRL+H hotkey and the CTRL+E hotkey or the View > Explorer Bar >History and Search commands.
Does anybody know a way to do this please?

Eeeeej, it's still Stemband, but the password of my other account is at my work, so I registered again...
You can close down the file menu by stuffing this in a reg file and merging it:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Int ernet Explorer]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Int ernet Explorer\Restrictions]
"NoBrowserClose"=dword:00000001
"NoBrowserSaveAs"=dword:00000001
"NoFileNew"=dword:00000001
"NoFileOpen"=dword:00000001
"NoPrinting"=dword:00000001
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Inte rnet Explorer]
"DisableImportExportFavorites"=dword:00000001
Just look on this site and the forum a bit more, it's all there. I think I got 95% of my info from this beautiful place. (Maybe you're just lazy... :))
Right, to completely remove the file entry use this:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Policies\Explorer]
"NoFileMenu"=dword:00000001
Don't forget to make you're own undo file, by copying the reg file and replacing the ones with zero's.
One thing, you might still be able to see for example 'Open... Ctrl+O' in your menu, but it doesn't work anymore. The import and export command is especially annoying, since it goes through the whole ceremony and at the end concludes that you're not allowed to do that...
Good luck.
yyyg718,

Here's an even easier way to get those tweaks that you want.
WinGuides very own <a target="_blank" href=http://www.winguides.com/tweak/>Tweak Manager</a>. It's an excellent utility that I use frequently.
