Deleting IE6 Favorites Folders (W98)

Certain Favorities folders can't be deleted. Have tried to delete from in IE, from DOS and from Explorer. Have looked for them w/ REGEDIT, nothing shows. Have searched for .reg files that may be related. They always come back, but only in the IE Fav's on IE6 startup. Is there something in the REGISTRY? Any help appreciated. Starting to make me 'nutttso'. thx

What are these "certain" Favorites foldes you're talking about.

For starters, rightclick one of them > Properties, and check the 'hidden' box.

That usually works fine.
