I am using IE 5.00.3315.1000. After installing GetRight 4.5e Download Manager, Javascripting isn't working anymore... That means: no pop-ups anymore, even the function CTRL+F (find on this page) does not open a window anymore....

I re-installed the browser... nothing happened... I switched to 6.0, nothing happened. I checked my settings: Scripting is enabled...

Could it be that files have been corrupted?

This site was posted by RS-232C in another support forum

Does anything happen?

No. Nothing....

In any event, there is an Javascript errormessage that <...> is not null or not an object, or "object required"

Wait... I doublechecked... The Event is actually occuring (the smiley is bouncing) but there is still the error message "win is not an object"

Now... I cannot use the function "Search for Files and Folders" anymore... The command is just being ignored... not even an error message

Regarding the find files, if you have TweakUI installed, make sure you have search results ticked

When using "Crazy browser" and disabling the pop-up filter, it works. Crazy browser opens up a new "tab" when IE should have opened up a new window.

Problem solved:
Try reading this thread:

I'd say IE opens only blank new windows (W2K)</font color=red> (http://www.winguides.com/forums/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=brdIE&Number=68867&page=&view=&sb=&vc=1><font)
