A recent post by Nan prompts me to second her suggestion on using AVG, www.grisoft.com, as a very good anti-virus program.
I was asked by a friend who had a virus on her PC (Win 95) and some antiquated AV system she could not update. I first went to Norton's web site (Symantec) and used their virus searcher to verify that there was a virus. Norton found 12 infected files. Next, I downloaded and installed AVG and ran their system scan. It found 18,healed 15 and quarentined 3 others.
