w32 insane.dam

after getting the w32 insane.dam virus from grokster, i thought i had it deleted, but every time i try to download a new version of grokster or kazaa i get a message from my mcafee virus protector saying that either the grokster or kazaa.exe has a virus and must be deleted....is this virus still on my pc and how can i rid myself of it..thanks for any help
