file associations (W98)

EarthLink 5.0 has changed my HTML file association to "EarthlinkBrowser" causing ELink signon to popup when any HTML file/shorcut is d-clicked. I can change it back to IE in folder options, but it changes again at next logon. Is there a regedit to prevent ELink from doing this?

May help to know what version of ELNK software you're running. Not sure how to fix it form within the Registry, but here's a quick rundown of the software...

1. Version 5.06 & 5.07, from the sign on screen, go to Configure > Manage Profiles > Browser > choose your default browxer from the dropdown box.

2. Version 5.03, from the sign on screen, go to Configure > Manage Profiles > Browser > click the box next the browser you'd like to make default.
