Hi there my password won't stay in the Dial-up window only my user name stays there & I know its because I recently removed the "Client For Microsoft" from my Network applet

Is there a way to make it stay in without putting the Client For Microsoft back in?

Thanks in Advance for any help

Win98SE >< IE6.0 SP-1

Hally,

when you see the password hasn't been saved, are you pressing cancel to try & find out why? I'm pretty sure if you add your password and then dial up it'll save next time

If it doesn't let us know, we'll get this fixed /images/forums/icons/smile.gif

Hi Dank I thought I replied but no . . doh!

Anyway the thing is my password section is blank & the 2 check boxes that say save password & the other one are greyed out, even when I type in my password & connect next time its the same blank again. I thought this is probably because I removed the "Client for Microsoft" from my Network applet, what do you think is that it

Thanks Again

hi there Hally.Had the same problem with my win98se and it's irritating. After trying various microsoft remedies,I installed a program called Dunce(a dialup network control enhancer) available from all the download services and it works.no longer have to keep entering my password, and the program is free.Steve
