Working on 9x system, is it possible to assign passwords to individual folders (directories) created on the system so that access to those folders is restricted.

One way I think you could do this is to zip the folder and password protect/encrypt the zipped folder.

Check back here, though, as the others have far more experiecne than I and will likely be able to give you further advice.

is it possible to assign passwords to folders using some kind of scripting.... without using any other applications ?
