No recent info (WME)

I am a pretty advanced user of Windows, but this one has me stumped. Just recently I have realized that my Recent Documents, Run and IE do not keep any entries. They are always empty. I have also dug around the registry and realized that my RunMRU and TypedURLs keys are missing. When I tried to create them I received an error trying to create the keys. It almost seems like they are there but hidden. I can create other keys without problems except for those associated with those 3 areas. I know most people would enjoy having this problem because nothing gets stored in Run, Documents or IE, but I occasionally use recent URL's etc. Any ideas.

You don't happen to have any application like TweakUI or X-Setup running that empties these automatically?

Nope, I dont believe in those apps, I like to make modifications myself, which is why I dont understand why this is happening.

Good news. I found out through some investigation that I had some corrupted registry keys, namely the RunMRU, TypedURLs and RecentDocs. I ran the scanregw utility with WinME and now things are back to Normal.
