Hey,

When I connect to the internet ( ya i'm using 56gay :-( ) As soon as it authenticates me and the progress screen goes away and the 2 little computer show up in the task bar this stupid little popup balloon comes up and shows me my connection speed. This is in Windows 2000 Advanced Server. Is there ANY way to disable this?? Please get back to me. Thanx!

This is for XP, may work in w2k

Start regedit & navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Explorer\Advanced

Create a string value called EnableBalloonTips & give it a value of 0

This disables all balloon tips
