Here I am again, seems I now know alot of peoples problems with IE DNS errors and Win Explorer pagefaults because Tony saved my WinExplorer with his streams registry fix, and finally MSN told me to reinstall IE6 for my DNS Error problems. Finally logged on, all is well, Windows Explorer working great, even submitted my Fujitsu hard drive to their diagnostic check and it is working good. Enough mem and space and my last reinstall of Win98 went fine and the updates have been reacknowledged thru their Windows System File checker. So now why when I get off of the internet, like when I leave here and leave the internet and notice already my computer not really leaving internet so quick. Right click MSN icon and logoff. Go to click icon for Windows Explorer and my computer is frozen. I press ctrl alt delete and the Rnappe and Trayclnt programs might still be running if I haven't for sure right clicked MSN icon to logoff, but I stop them thru ctrl alt delete and they leave and all I then have is Windows Explorer (not responding). Can't really do anything. Press ctrl alt delete again and get the blue screen about I think waiting for closing. Have to keep on doing it maybe a few more times and finally reboots. Doesn't happen unless go onto internet. This IE 6 sure has proven to be a bug. And what is it about the DirectX 4.8 that won't work with Win98. Is it the AGP texturing or am I mistaken and it just won't work with my display adapter, which I thought was up to date enough, via Trident.??? Any answers . . sorry so long. Oh and here is a hard one for me, this UDMA test thru Fujitsu . ... is this something that all computers come with - this UDMA - Direct Memory Access ability. Is 33 something or other too weak. 66 is that the better? So confused about that - I don't even know how to ask a question. Pretty piggy with my questions I admit too. sorry.
