I wanted to disable the Task Manager in XP. I know how to do it in the registry. I only have one user on the computer. I tried to do this and it didn't work. I had to create a dummy user and then go into the current user and change the registry. If I delete the dummy user will the settings change? Will the user be able to access the Task Manager or will my settings change. I could only get the changes to take effect after I created the dummy user and feel that my registry change will undo if I delete the dummy user.
