possible to downgrade ME -> 98? (WME)

I'm just wondering if Microsoft's downgrade system for 2k and XP works for ME as well...If I have a copy of ME, can I use that license to install 98se instead?

Hi,

I don't think you will be able to use the WME license with W98. Microsoft allow WXP license to be used if you install W2K due to the fact so many businesses use it.

Have you tried looking around for a CD with Windows 98 SE on it at a computer fair for example. You will be able to pick it up quite cheaply and you will have a license with it (make sure it is there).
