Hello i have a couple of questions regarding restrictions in IE 6 if anyone can help i would most appreciative,I have searched the forums and found many good tips to remove settings from prying eyes,however a couple that i would like i cannot find if they are available at all.
What i would like to do is grey out some of the options that appear in the file,view for example
"edit with microsoft word"
"Import/Export"
"Send" plus a couple of others in the View menu can anyone point me in the right direction to do this?
any help as usual much appreciated

Hi and thanks for your response i didn't make it exactly clear sorry i have no toolbar options left i have managed to get rid of them it is the menus at the top the browser i just found one to move the file menu but still need to remove some options from the tools and the view menu
does this make sense?

Have a look at <a target="_blank" href=http://www.winguides.com/registry/display.php/442/>Internet Explorer Restrictions(All Versions)</a>. None of the items you mentioned are listed, but you said there were other restrictions that you were interested in.

I have looked at them and they certainly helped but alas the ones i am looking for are not mentioned

Hi again Nana i have used all the suggestions in those posts to great effect already i am maybe guilty of trying to be too thorough(although where our students are concerned i don't think thats possible)

I agree - you can't be too thorough with students. It's sad, you know, that some students have to monkey around like that. Obviously they are somewhat talented in order to know how to do lots of these little pranks they pull. They just don't apply their knowledge the 'acceptable' way.
Ditto for virus/trojan/worm authors.
What a tremendous waste of talent!
