After replacing domain from NT4 to W2K by installing over,
and creating DFS we have got the following problem:
The workstations W2K Prof. Russian SP3 can't enter the DFS
links with the following error message
- " device not work "
net use \\Domain\DFS-Root\DFS-link -SYSTEM ERROR 59.
Reinstalling of Service Pack 3 brings no effect.
Removing the workstation from domain, change SID and entering it again don't help also.
New workstations (not working into NT4 domain earlier)
work properly after join into domain W2K
Old and new NT4 workstations after installing Active Directory client software also work properly.
Would you please explain me the way of resolving this problem.
Mike.

Did you try if those clients would be able to access your domain-based DFS root by using \\servername\dfsroot instead?
If so, maybe there is a trust missing? Or the Secure Channels might need a refresh (as error 59 looks like a network connection problem)?
