I was helping my neighbor who's mouse stopped working. Her system is an older pentium 200. Everything was fine, and then the mouse stopped working, I swapped another mouse but that didn't solve the problem. I tried checking the device manager where I could see a yellow mark on the mouse telling me there was a problem, but there was no way to direct the curser to the mouse so I could have it reload it's driver. The up/dn arrows wouldn't go through the list in device manager, only on the tabs and buttons, tabbing didn't help either. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to load a mouse driver assuming thats the problem.
Thanks.

I ran into this the other day when my son moved his pc and we had to point windows to the \windows\system folder to get it to re-recognize the usb mouse.
You can use the up/down keys. Use the Tab as you did and follow it through the different controls. when you can't see the "indent" in any control hit the down arrow key. You can then move to the entry hit enter and tab/enter your way to update the driver.
