Ctrl, Alt, Del, does nothing you pretty much have to reboot and log in with the diff name and everything is o.k.???
Running 1.2 AMD Thunderbird

Since this happens when you try to log in the possibility of a damaged Password file is there. Do a find files for *.pwl
Remove one and try to sign in. Remove another and another until you can sign in without a problem. When you do sign in again, you will have to fill in the name and password box.

I've had this happen before. If you have more than one copy of KERNEL32.DLL in your computer you can get a response like that. Delete all KERNEL32.DLL file(s) that ARE NOT in the windows/system folder. If the file is not corrupted, your computer should not give you that error message any more.
