I set up my new second comp right beside my main one, and promptly setup the network.
Fast and smooth.
Now for the internet.
Using a 56k i set up the included ICS program in WINME>
Small problem.. the new comp just can't seem to keep the box ticked in add/remove programs / windows setup ticked.
Doesn't matter if I restart or not it just wont stay ticked. And therefore ICS doesn't work. /cry
I tried to use a 3rd party software to set it up.. but im very low tech, and got lost 2 frames after the install.
Any suggestions/?

Once the LAN is properly working, ICS has to be set up on the computer with the modem & phone line, then you are prompted to make a floppy disk and install it on the other computers connected by LAN to the first.

[Note for others reading here: WinXP Pro wants to be 'top dog' in ICS, have the modem and everyone else connect through it.]

Good judgement comes from experience, and experience comes from bad judgement

Both comps have Winme setup on them.

Fisrt one is set up with modem and phone line
Second one reads network fine.. and says ics is setup.
But When i restart.. the ics options are gone.
