I have setup a webdav system on my home linux box, works great when accessing it with my Mac, but am having some trouble accessing it from my work W2K box. Others are having issues accessing it as well with their Win PC's, but are okay with the Macs. Any help is appreciated.
1> I am trying to find a log of some sort. Is there a way in W2k to make it log the connection for debugging? I've read posts referring to wecerr.txt in C:\winnt\temp\ but I have nothing like that in there.
The message I'm getting, after connecting to the webdav share and entering my username and password is "The folder you entered does not appear to be valid. Please choose another"
2> Proxy servers sometimes cause grief for webdav, I'm aware of this. However, using WebDrive I was able to connect to my share through the proxy. WebDrive caused instability on the system with Novell, so it had to go, but I know it can be done. Is it possible to adjust proxy settings for Web Folders?
I'm assuming #2 is the answer to #1, but I want to be thorough... like I said, others, not behind a proxy, are getting errors as well.
Thanks,
Mike
