I have downloaded the AOSS File to a blank CD using Nero.I have reconfigured system so it boots from CD on start up. When the computer boots from CD all I get is a whole lot of start up scanner stuff that comes up, there is no Eula or anything like it. At the end all that happens is a white square cursor blinking at the bottom of the screen. I have dowloaded this a few times to different CDs, thinking there may be something I have not done. But it is all the same. I have also downloaded the ImgBurn like someone suggested on the forum, and tried dowloading the same image to a new CD, And guess what!!! Rebooted from CD nothing at all happened. Just went straight to windows. I hope there is some knowlegeable computer whizz out there that can help me before I go crazy. Since I have been trying to do this since we got the AOSS file download in the email. And I agree with w***ver said on the Forum that this is the hardest thing they have had to sort out through PC Tools. It is either that or I am dumb. Cheers and Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year to all.

Lydia.

Hey Lydia,

It seems that you are not configuring your BIOS properly, that is why Windows is loading up. You will need to set your BIOS to start up with the CD-ROM drive.

check out this thread http://www.pctools.com/forum/showthread.php?t=218.

Cheers

Hi Chippa

Thanks for that, I didn't realise that Windows is starting to load first, which it is. I have configured the BIOS to boot from CD/DVD Drive first, saved the setting but the same thing happens. I am getting a technician in to see why it won't boot from the CD. Reading all the posts I notice there are a few people out there that are having the same problem. I will try and burn this on another computer and see what happens.

Try running a test bootup CD, to see if this reads. If this works, it means the AOSS image that you have burned on CD has been incorrectly installed/burned.
