reinstalled w2k but zip drive probs (W2K)

I've reinstalled win2k pro, and installed my scsi zip 100 after downloading the correct driver, and it works fine, but the zip icon in my computer, in explore, and on the desktop, disappear upon reboot every time and I have to go and reinstall it from the add hardware and the story repeat itself over and over again, how can I fix this annoyance, your help is appreciated. Thank you a billion!!!!!

My scsi card is:adaptec aha-2940/aic78xx pci scsi controller, and windows installed the driver for it ,and it works just fine in win98se I'm adding this info in case someone take interest in this issue maybe there is a upgrade for win2kpro I just don't know how to get it your help in fixing this, is greatly appreciated thanks!!!!!
