I had been having problems with my soundblaster live card and re-installed the latest W2k drivers for it. Now on boot up, the computer ALWAYS opens up
the soundblaster folder. It doesn't matter whether I make sure everything is closed before I shut down, it always opens up in the folder and not to the standard desktop! Any ideas?
TIA, Alan.

badge57,

I'm unfamiliar with W2K, but I wondered if there was something within the Soundblaster Programme itself that is telling it to open on bootup? Something maybe in the Option menu?

What about your startups? As I said, I'm not familiar with W2K, but in Win9x I would look in MSConfig, system.ini, win.ini etc. to see if it was mentioned anywhere & being told to open on bootup.

Sorry, I'm sure that isn't of much use to you. Make sure to check back as the others have vastly more experience than I and will likely be able to solve your problem.
