I have moor problems with 98 than i can think of lately its just been feezing up when ever it feels like it for no explicable reason. I have been told that 2000 is moor stable than 98, is there any limitations that it has compaired to 98?

sailing on cheese,

If you're thinking of changing OS, why not go to XP? Or, is your computer not powerful enough to handle it?

I think the first thing you would notice is that games are not supported as well on W2K. It's definitely a more stable OS, though.

Come back to check here for more answers as the others are far more experienced than I and will be able to go into more depth with you.

Basically Windows XP has been built on Windows 2000, therefore, this implies one can expect the same reliablility Windows 2000 offered - I find this to be true.

Another good reason to go for Windows XP rather than Windows 2000 is its cheaper!

Be aware that XP means "Product Activation"! If you don't wish to deal with the potential hassles of "Product Activation", then go for W2K not XP. If you go for XP be aware that the home version is not fully networking enabled. XP Pro is.

Is that how you would deal with a problem in marriage????? Why not try to determine the cause of the problem and fix that, don't just change OSs. You will never learn anything about computers that way! At least try reinstalling win98 to see if that fixes the problem. Good Grief!
