Does anyone know what tweak can be used to remove the colored block that surrounds the titles for the Icons on the desktop. The new XP GUI makes it invisible and calls it, shadows under the Icon titles, I think. There are also programs available that make it invisible, WinCustomize, Tweak Shell, Object Desktop, and others, but there must be a way to make it invisible through the registry, I just don't see it in the WinGuides Tweak Manager anywhere. Thanks
in advance for any help.

how about re-defining the icon text background color with transparent GIF color properties, that ought get you started.
I have thought about it my self , but then I thought why have any icons on my desktop to begin with... if you get my drift.
that way I got over this addiction. Plus there are quite a few progies out there just to do that.
Another option for you, just use an empty (dummy) font for the Icon Text Font. I am not sure it is going to work though.

I don't think there's a way to do that with a registry hack.
I use Mindbeat's Invisible 2001. I love it! It has a lot of other features, too.
