Dean,
Looks like the driver you have doesn't support the Video card you have. During enumeration the PCI ID's are read from the devices in the system and these are stored in the registry. When you go to install a driver the PCI ID's in the inf file are compared to the one's in the registry.
Examples are: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\P CI\VEN_102B&DEV_0521&SUBSYS_FF03102B&REV_01
The Vendor and Device ID's are the main components as most drivers are written to be generic.
I would look for the latest driver for your specific card.
If you want to determine the vendor and device ID's for your card I can send you a utility that will scan the PCI bus and display the information. You can then check this against the contents of the driver inf file.
Cheers

Dean,
Your card is an nVidia TNT2 card. You can download the driver from here: http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?IO=win9x_30.82

Hi Andy ! I`ve done the dll. you suggestd but "just before" completion of installation that warning popup comes up again! Just 2 recap it said "Setup was unable to locate a detected devices PCI ID in NVAML.INF." Having said that is there a way to tell if its properly installed+working? Guess i`m making ur day a real joy huh? Sorry thanx anyway Deanr :)

Open the inf file and go to the section detailed below:
[NVidia.Mfg]
%NVidia% Riva TNT = nv, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0020
%NVidia% Riva TNT2 = nv, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0028
%NVidia% Vanta = nv, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_002C
%NVidia% Riva TNT2 Ultra = nv, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0029
%NVidia% Riva TNT2-A = nv, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_00A0
%NVidia% Riva TNT2 Model 64 = nv, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_002D
Verify that the %NVidia% Riva TNT2-A = nv, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_00A0 is present.
