Hi everybody
When I have windows explorer launched and reboot the system, after booting into windows, Explorer would be launched automaticlly. Is there any settings or registry tweak to turn this feature off?
I don't want explorer to be launced automatically after rebooting my system.
Thanx in advance.

Perhaps I am reading your post incorrectly but the simple solution is to close out of Explorer before rebooting.

Hi Report_2
You're reading my post correctly. It's not only the explorer, but if Control panel is opened and I reboot, all the open windows will be launched automatically. It's very simple to close the open windows and reboot. One of my freinds told me ther should be a way to tell win98 not to open the windows after rebooting and I was just curious to see if there's any possibility for this task.
thanx

Check in the start up tab in msconfig
Start>run>msconfig
Also, have a look in your startup folder
Start>All Programs>Startup

mbmanley had a similar thread with maybe two solutions that I did not delve into.

I think maybe you're looking in the wrong place. Open an explorer window, go to Tools->Folder Options, choose the View tab, and scroll down to "Restore previous folder windows at logon". Just uncheck the box. I'm running WinXP, so yours might be different.
