I'm Win98 upgrade from Win95 with MSPlus!. Does anyone know how to change the default directory of Themes to another drive. I would like to remove them from my C:\ drive and place them on my larger secondary drive. I know when I do this I will have to modify some Theme Masters to include the %ThemeDir% command. I can't find any info anywhere on how to move the default but frequently read that the %ThemeDir% command is there to know any location where the Themes might be stored. I'm sure this is a Registry hack as TweakUI has several redisgnations of Windows locations but not for Themes.
When posting this on tech baords, I've heard every scenario under the sun, from 1) I have to reformat and reinstall the OS (which isn't going to happen, 2) Can't be done since its part of the OS (I'm sure it can since other default OS directories can be moved via TweakUI), 3)Must always be on Drive C:\Program Files\Plus!\Themes (which defeats the purpose of %ThemesDir% command.
MSKB speaks much of the %ThemeDir% command but doesn't say anything about how to change the default. I've scanned the Registry and see lots on the default but they ALL include references to Theme.exe (with some switches) which implies to me that the executable might need to be moved as well but I'm not sure and won't do anything until I know more.
Thanks!
