Hello
I have a 2 computers on a network, both on a router with roadrunner. The problem I am about to tell you about occurs on both of my computers.
If I happen to surf the web for a long time, or send/receive a large amount of packets over a period of time, my internet use seems to come to a halt. For example, if I had surfed the web for a while, and visited many websites, sometime or another I would try to go to a site and would get a "Page not found" error. However, if I had been on AOL Instant Messenger during the time of my "Internet Halt", I'd be able to chat to people. However, if I signed off of AIM and tried to sign on again, I wouldn't be able to. I'd get a "connection error"
After I tracerouted myself, I got this error:
"no buffer space is available"
The only way I can fix the problem after my internet stops working, is to restart my computer. I find this annoying, because I hate having to restart my computer periodically just to get my internet to work again. I still have this problem even if I disconnect my computer from the network/router. Is it possible the problem is with the cable itself? (not the cable modem).
I'm using Win 98 SE on both computers.
Thanks in advance!
